Cogs in the Urban Wheel

Jeff Scher‘s stirring — almost chilling — New York Times filmic op-ed portraying the morning rush hour at Grand Central Station is reminiscent of "Metropolis." Those masses of black and white people, rushing to their jobs on Wall Street or at law firms, don’t seem all that different from the interchangeable, human machine parts of a 1920s factory. Composer Shelby Lynch‘s soundtrack for the short film is reinforcing the connection for me. Lemme know what you think.
